How to get from Faro Airport to Cabanas? 

You can book a transfer up front, or take a taxi. Uber works very well around the Algarve with good rates and service. 

Renting a car is easy to do, but think about the following when doing so :

- there is a toll system on the highway that runs east to west through the Algarve (Via do Infante).  You need to activate the toll paying system through the rental company.  If you want to explore the Algarve coastline, we advise to use this. If not, you will need to use the N125 which can be slow and busy, especially during the season

- if you think about going into Spain, make sure to mention this when renting!

Driving in the Algarve is not too complicated, only the N125 gets busy and some crossing require special attention. Inland roads are good although not very wide. 

Public Transport

Train : runs from FARO to Vila Real. Good option from Cabanas to visit Tavira, Fuseta, Olhao, Vila Real. You can take your bike onto the train.  No train service at the airport...
